The Native Tribes of South Australia - soft cover

soft cover version

Rev. George Taplin, Dr Wyatt, JP, Rev. A Meyer, Rev C W Schümann, S Gason,

The Friends of the State Library are delighted to announce an exciting addition to our current Australiana publication program.

The development of the digital print-on-demand process enables us to add a range of books to our publication list at a significantly lower selling price.

We will concentrate on facsimile editions of significant and interesting Australiana.

Our first publication will be J.D. Woods’ The Native Tribes of South Australia, which we produced as a facsimile edition in 1997 with an introduction by Philip Jones.  The book comprises six separate papers of special interest:  Rev. George Taplin, ‘The Narrinyeri’, W. Wyatt, ‘The Adelaide Tribe’, Rev. A. Meyer, ‘The Encounter Bay Tribe’, Rev. C.W. Schürmann; S. Gason, The Dieyerie Tribe’, and John Wm. Ogilvie Bennett, ‘Vocabulary of Woolner District Dialect (Northern Territory)’.
